  British Institute and other things

We are delighted to announce our 6th Annual British Institute. This week-long event includes classroom sessions each morning and afternoon research time in Family History Library. In addition, there are opportunities for consultations with the instructors and assistance with research problems. For more information, go to the Institute tab.

The UK National Archives recently added an index to the first fifteen years of the Death Duty Registers - 1796 to 1811. Images are available at this site. Click here.

The 1841 Census database has had several more counties added to it and is available at Origins.net . Also, at this site you can find the 1749 census for the Diocese of Elphin in Ireland.

If you have research in Northumberland and County Durham 1540-1858, go to the Durham Probate Catalogue and see what may be of help with your research.
